Association of Professional Landscapers to showcase at Garden Up – Sheffield
The Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) is delighted to announce that it will have a presence at Garden Up which runs from the 7 -8 June at the Sheffield Botanical Gardens.
The APL will be exhibiting at the event and will be giving out expert advice to visitors on why it is important to choose an accredited landscaper to do work on a garden, the benefit of the government endorsed Trustmark scheme, as well as showcasing examples of members work.
This will give the perfect opportunity to meet APL’s Regional Account Managers Andrew Dunkley and Phil Tremayne.
The show, the first to be held in Sheffield is an innovative two-day event sponsored by Investec Wealth & Investment, and will showcase the very best talent from the worlds of horticulture, architecture, landscape and design.
The creator of ‘Garden Up’ is Richard Nicolle, who is a Sheffield-based horticultural expert and former TV producer. He has five years’ exhibition experience at the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show, and has worked on the Sheffield Winter Garden and Peace Gardens more recently.
APL Chairman, Mark Gregory said: “We are delighted to present the APL offering at Garden Up and look forward to meeting gardeners to discuss the benefits of using an APL member. 2014 is an exciting year for the APL with the partnership with WorldSkillsUK, collaborative work with Trustmark and Your Garden, Your Budget at RHS Hampton Court. We are delighted to be able to add Garden Up to this list and are excited to be part of the inaugural show.”
Richard Nicolle, organiser of Garden Up said: “The presence of the APL at Garden Up will help to underline the importance of qualified and creditable professionals in the Gardening and Landscaping industry. Sheffield is a vibrant city with a great many gardens and Green spaces and we feel that to live up to its reputation as the ‘Greenest City in Britain’ it needs a thriving Horticultural Design sector behind it. The Garden Up event is helping to stimulate an appetite for gardening expertise and inspire the market with innovations and skills that can be applied to our gardens and built environments.”
