The RHS will be providing a helpline at GardenUp with Plant Experts at their stand to give advice on plants and horticulture.

One of the UK’s top 5 true specialist alpine plant nurseries, situated at 900ft in the Yorkshire Pennines for nearly 30 years.

The vast majority of plants are propagated on the nursery from seed or cutting, resulting in a unique and unusual range. All are extremely hardy – grown outside at 900ft in the Pennines – and have withstood prolonged temperatures of -19°C.

Mr Darcy’s Fruit Trees

Mr D’Arcy’s Heritage Fruit Trees specialises in offering heritage and unusual varieties for gardeners, allotment holders, landowners & organisations.

Grafted 1, 2 or 3 year old trees are available on plant health certified rootstocks, in 3 litre, 7 litre or 12 litre containers, convenient to plant at any time of year or also as bare root trees between December and April.

Association of Professional Landscapers (APL)

The Association of Professional Landscapers represents landscapers who meet a required standard of professionalism. Members of the Association are registered with the government endorsed TrustMark Scheme. They are regularly inspected and agree to follow a customer charter with clients. The APL is part of the Horticultural Trades Association which is the trade Association for the UK gardening industry. It is dedicated to helping develop the industry and its member businesses, including most garden centres and other garden retailers, growers, landscapers, manufacturers and service providers.

Adam Briney – All Things Bonsai

Adam Briney of All Things Bonsai is bringing a touch of the exotic to the show with his Bonsai trees and accessories.

Adam’s plant connections go back to his childhood; He says “Discovering bonsai at Southport Flower show at the age of 12 while my parent’s garden centre were exhibiting a trade stand of cut flowers, I have been hooked ever since.”

SAGE Greenfingers

SAGE Greenfingers supports adults with mental health needs via horticultural therapy and arts activity on Grimesthorpe allotments.

We have landscaped 5 sites into a stunning garden displaying a colourful array of flowers, herbs and veg at most times of year.  Beneficiaries experience mental health issues ranging from anxiety and depression to psychoses, schizophrenia, post traumatic stress disorder.

RSPB Sheffield

RSPB Sheffield Local Group will be at Garden Up to give members of the public Ideas on how to “Give Nature a Home” in their Gardens.

This will include a Display, Information Leaflets and Local Group Volunteers being available to answer  queries  and questions .

We will be joined by a Team Member from our Regional Office who will be there to answer enquires about Membership to the RSPB. We will also have a selection of Goods for sale.
