Art in the Gardens Show – new designs!
22/09/2019
The RHS will be providing a helpline at GardenUp with Plant Experts at their stand to give advice on plants and horticulture.
The RHS was founded in 1804, and our core objective is to be the world’s leading gardening charity by inspiring passion and excellence in the science, art and practice of horticulture.
Our charitable purpose is: “The encouragement and improvement of the science, art and practice of horticulture in all its branches.”
What we do
We are driven by a simple love of plants and the belief that gardeners make the world a better place – this underpins all we do.
Bringing gardening to everyone
From our world-class flower shows and grassroots schools campaign to our ground-breaking green-roof research and community outreach programmes – sharing the best in Gardening is at the heart of everything the RHS does.
Gardening advice
Every year we answer tens of thousands of gardening enquiries, and it is our research that underpins our advice. Why not visit the RHS Stand at the Garden Up show where Advisors will be on hand to answer your gardening questions and help with diagnosing horticultural problems that you may have.
Our Campaigns
The RHS Campaign for School Gardening aims to encourage and support schools to develop and actively use a school garden. As part of the Campaign we provide teachers with resources through and an extensive programme of CPD days.
The RHS It’s Your Neighbourhood campaign supports community groups in cleaning up and greening up their immediate local environment – whether that’s the street they live in, or a small patch of communal land needing a revamp
The Yorkshire Regional Development Team will be able to recommend help and support for community gardeners, schools and gardening clubs.
