Sheffield and District Orchid Society

The Society was formed in January 1972 with the aim of promoting interest in orchids and their culture.

Meetings are held at 10.00 a.m. on the second Sunday in each month at the Ranmoor Parish Centre, Ranmoor Park Road, Sheffield.

 

Regular visiting speakers are invited to talk on particular types of orchids  and how to best grow them.

Members bring  their own plants to provide a Table Show on which an experienced fellow member gives a commentary thus providing opportunites to learn more about a wide range of plants.  Plants may be entered for judging by internationally qualified judges the Society having four, so qualified, amongst its’ membership.
